Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

You’ll build and own the customer-facing surface: the Astro marketing site at verasoma.com and the Next.js + Tamagui portal at app.verasoma.com. Both consume the typed @verasoma/types package generated from our Python API, so your work is shaped by an iron contract rather than a stack of stubs.

You report to the Head of Engineering. You’ll partner with the CV engineer (who owns the pipeline) and the design lead (who owns the visual system).

What you’ll do

• Build pages and flows in Astro 5 (landing) and Next.js 16 + Tamagui (portal).
• Wire Supabase auth (JWKS-verified JWTs in HttpOnly cookies) end-to-end.
• Maintain the design-tokens build (@verasoma/design-tokens) so the portal, landing, and future mobile app stay in sync.
• Pair with the CV engineer when adding new analysis surfaces; you’ll often be the first person to see a new schema field through to a rendered page.
• Help shape the testing strategy: vitest for units, Playwright for E2E, Lighthouse CI for budgets.

Required experience

• 5+ years of production web work, ideally a mix of marketing-grade SSG and product SPA / SSR.
• Deep TypeScript, React, and at least one of Astro / Next.js / Remix.
• Comfortable working off a typed contract (OpenAPI, GraphQL, codegen).
• Track record of holding a Lighthouse 90+ on a real production site.

Preferred experience

• Tamagui or another universal styling system (vanilla-extract, Stitches, Panda).
• Prior work on a JWT-gated multi-app monorepo.
• Familiarity with the Vercel deploy / preview model.
